I have used 5 different shoe lift companies over the past 10 years and none compare to American Heelers. They have put 3/4" honeycomb style lifts into 4 different types of shoes for me over the past year. With each one, I am continually impressed with their ability to pristinely match the style and contour of the shoe, return the completed job in around a week's time (even over the holidays), make personal phone calls for any small question, and do all of it at a reasonable price.
The honeycomb style lifts have made a major change in my ability to run long distances as the lifts are lighter weight and more flexible. My ankle no longer hurts from lifting up a heavy shoe after a good work out!
Most recently I had a Wolverine 1000 mile boot lifted and it is the best yet, looking like it was performed by Wolverine themselves. Previous companies have turned me away for lifting shoes with leather or stitched soles, while American Heelers said, "no problem." I even had a stranger comment that they liked the "retro" style heel of the boot. I just flashed the other non-lifted shoe, smiled, and left them baffled.
The only problem I have had with any of their shoes, was that a Choco sandal became unglued after wearing it in the water for a week. I have no complaints however as I was getting rough use out of the sandal and American Heelers asked me to send the sandal back to them for repair at no charge shipping included.
