Last year I came off my horse and broke my hip. The surgery to insert titanium rods into my femur resulted in a 1 inch loss in leg length. Other than recovery pain and limping, I didn't notice any problems at first. When I started hiking and riding my horse again I started to have pain in the knee of my uninjured leg that continued to get worse over the next several months. I wondered if it was due to uneven leg lengths so I googled the subject and sure enough my problem was one of many that can occur. I then googled for a company that would heighten my shoes because inserts were not helping. When American Heelers came up and I started reading reviews I immediately sent in an order for my hiking and riding boots. I felt the results instantly while riding and I put the hiking boots to the test by spending a week in the mountains hiking at least 5-10 miles everyday. No knee pain whatsoever! I subsequently ordered and received modifications to my tennis shoes and casual boots. I will soon send in my house shoes and a dress shoes.
