I admit I was leery of sending my Keen hikers to be cut up but I had to do something. I was 2 months out from a total knee replacement and although the surgery straightened my knee I now had an even more painful lower back when I walked. My Doctor did some measuring and found that my “good “ leg was 5/8” shorter. Since I have planter faciitis I knew I couldn’t just get heal inserts. So I started searching and found “heelers of broken soles” article and decided to send them my “best” shoes, the ones I wear 10 hours a day. One call and they assured me they would take good care of my shoe while they cut it in half. They sent a prepaid envelope and order form and a week later I had my shoe back. IT LOOKED
GREAT. I took a walk around the yard and my
husband yelled, “Wow. You’re not tilting to the right
any more!” And after an hour I did not have the severe
lower back pain that I always had after walking. I immediately sent out my hiking boots and again was amazed by the quality of their work. So thank you AMERICAN HEELERS from the bottom of my feet!!
