The folks at FireHouse Moving Company were polite, and careful with my belongings, but I was not at all impressed with their preparation or efficiency. They didn't have enough trucks for all of our belongings, so they needed to rent a U-Haul, which was an expense I had not anticipated. They also did not arrive with the proper tools for moving our heavier furniture and cabinets, despite me having mentioned it, specifically, beforehand. Then, the movers themselves were heartbreakingly slow. I could not have moved that slowly, even if I were trying to, and I'm in my sixties. My 86 year old father was passing them by, in the hallway. It was really quite unbelievable.
The end of the move went well enough, and they put everything where my wife asked, but I was unimpressed enough with their inefficiency, and I don't think I'd hire them again.
