On Monday, Randy's Electric called to reschedule an appointment--and thankfully I was home ill and able to accommodate their schedule. When I called to make the appointment, I had asked for them to provide different lighting options to replace the outside spotlights. When they arrived on Monday, they only had one of the options, and it wasn't going to work: the reason being is that I had asked for non-motion activated lights, and so I just wanted the lights to be non-motion activated. The only lights they had were motion-activated. So, I asked them to get non-motion lights.

They said they'd get those and bring them today at 1 p.m. They've now cancelled that appointment even though I took a half-day off of vacation time. So now I will have to take another vacation day to accommodate their schedule. They don't provide service on weekends or evenings and can't replace the lighting and spotlight fixtures during those days and times.

When I called to see if there was anything else they could do, they told me they'd give me a $35 credit; I took a half day's vacation, and that's worth a lot more than $35, so I am significantly irritated at this point in time. They only reason I don't go to another vendor is because I've used Randy's before and have had nothing but stellar experiences. They provide wonderful customer service and were quick to get stuff done--stuff that worked properly when they finished. They also did fantastic work on the new kitchen and electrical system--including changing out a whole home-surge protector. So, as far as changing out the lighting is concerned, I haven't called them just once for something small.
