Terrible experience!

I've been involved with this so called non profit for over a year now. They have zero negotiating skills with the credit card companies. I had to do all the work and ultimately 3 credit card companies, to which I was trying to consolidate, all reported late payments to the credit bureaus to which I now cant get off. They will leave you hanging.

One of the biggest benefits to our debt management program is lower interest rates. While we can’t guarantee that creditors will accept our proposals which most creditors do, some even lower their rates to 0% and consistent payments should have a positive impact on your credit rating. At the beginning of the debt management program we advise clients to keep making payments while we negotiate with their creditors to avoid missed payments and ultimately late fees. We have little control over how quickly a creditor will take in assessing your situation. Many respond quickly but others can take much longer. Since you did not provide your full name, we’re unable to verify whether you’re a client or check your account to see what’s going on. And, even though creditors don’t accept the proposals for lower interest rates, many clients enroll or remain in the program because of the reduced monthly payments and increase in their cash flow.
