Terrible Experience
Update 1/30/25 Anthony & Sylvan had a leak detection company come and locate the leak with a camera. The leak is in the piping from the pool to the pump. They said they would cover the cost of the camera detection, but fixing the leak my responsibility. Mind you my pool is 3 years old and the piping IN THE GROUND broke. The guys who installed the piping reeked of $@!#%. But I was told not to worry, that the piping is inspected. Mind you, all the work to install your pool is subcontracted out. Estimate to repair it is $3,500!!! They will not cover the costs!
Update 12/21/24 I finally received a response, a boilerplate email. It basically said for me to do a bucket test. Then, if I see it’s leaking for me to contact a leak detection company. If a leak is detected in the shell then I can re-contact Anthony Sylvan to determine the next steps. Otherwise, if it’s outside the shell, I’m on my own. This pool is less than three years old. I received no phone call, no communication to determine how bad the leak is. It’s just their terrible customer service on repeat. So here are some pictures. It was completely full on Tuesday, these pictures are taken on Saturday.
UPDATE 12/19/24!!! My pool is leaking. I noticed the water level very low on Monday morning. Spent the entire day and half of Tuesday filling it. Wednesday morning, it's low again. Low enough that it's below the skimmers. I'm not sure where the water is going. I don't see any drainage from around the pump or the pool. Still waiting to hear from warranty. Again, buyer beware!
If you are considering using Anthony & Sylvan I highly, highly recommend that you do your due diligence and look at other companies. Unfortunately, A&S is more focused on sales versus quality of construction. The sales people might be great, but the follow through with the construction process is horrific. And it shows!
1. Destroyed my gate. I now have to wait 6-8 weeks for a new one.
2. Entered my yard in the wrong place even though the "project manager" marked it on the ground and docs.
3. Put my pool steps in the wrong place. They had to chisel it out and redo.
4. Added the wrong size seat wall and had to fix.
5. Quoted the wrong size pump even though all info was provided up front. Had to install a bigger one at an added cost.
6. Cut the bladder of my waterfall causing it to leak. It took the waterfall company nearly a day just to figure out what they had done.
7. Didn't make note of the double bull nose coping that I requested on the backside of the pool during the "meet and greet". They had to redo it.
8. And finally today, all but 2 of my large flagstones that were to be used in a step project are gone. Site cleanup either covered them up or removed them
At every mistake all I got was the excuse that they were swamped with business.
