I hired Mr. Handyman for a remodeling job in my kitchen almost three months ago. At the start of the project, they estimated it'd take about six weeks to complete. It's taken an additional month, and it's still not finished.
Initially, the process was going alright, but when it came down to the final detail work, there were a lot of things that needed to be fixed. They were not at all detail oriented, and I've had to do all of the follow up by myself. This has taken up a lot of my time, and has not been a pleasant or satisfactory experience.
The estimates they provided for the services they would be contracting out (electric and plumbing) were way under, and there were all sorts of additional costs that were added on, so their claim to firm prices was entirely inaccurate.
The designer, Jolene, was the only part of this whole experience that's been positive. She was personable and spent time talking with me about what I wanted, and went the extra mile to make sure everything was right. She was quick and responsive, and I really appreciated her work.
The rest of the team that was working wasn't given the time to appropriately finish their work. People were constantly being pulled out, leaving before their projects were complete. It didn't seem like the employees were treated well, and I will not be using this company again.
