I thought Mr. Handyman of NE Monmouth County did an excellent job. I was getting a new refrigerator but because of the limited selection available to me, I couldn't get the exact size I needed to fit the spot where it was going to go. I required someone to shave off about an inch or so of material underneath the cabinet, which was above the fridge area. He impressed me very much, especially with the piece of equipment he had on him. It was a saw, but it also had a suction hose, which grabbed the sawdust and prevented it from going everywhere, which I thought was pretty cool. This was my first time using them after they were recommended to me by my daughter, who had used them in the past.
I would probably use them again, though they were a bit expensive for the hour or so that he was here. I did appreciate that, after he was done, he asked if there was anything else he could look at, since he still had some time remaining. He looked at the toilet in my guest bathroom, and mentioned that these blue tablets I was using could actually corrode my pipes, and were also very harmful to the toilet. So he proceeded to get it out of the tank and throw it away.
I was also a bit disappointed that he was not vaccinated. I asked him when he arrived if he was, and told me that he wasn't and that he didn't believe in it. He did have his mask however, as did I, and I had a small amount of time to get this done before my fridge arrived, so I took a chance. Everything went okay, but I do think these Handyman workers should get the vaccine, since they interact with so many people throughout the day. If I need their services again, I may ask for a vaccinated individual. At the end of the day, everything worked out fine.
