Great Technical Work But Wish They Were Prepared Prior To Arrival

I wanted to get some support beams replaced on my patio so I found Mr. Handyman of Huntsville when I looked at reviews on a popular home list site. The technical work they did was excellent! Everything was done really well and they did it quickly. They got everything done right. They even picked up the materials for me. They were friendly and cordial. The only reason I gave them three stars instead of five stars is because they charge by the hour. One of the technicians was missing a drill bit. He left to go get it and the hardware store is nine miles away. It took him an hour to come back with the drill bit and they charged me for the extra hour. I had sent them details and pictures of the patio area before they came out for the work. I just feel perhaps if they made a consultation trip prior to doing any work they would be more prepared with the tools they need for the task at hand. I even spoke with Jeff about it and he said they have a polity that if they forget anything the customer can pick it up. However, they never gave me that option. The technician just left to go get it. I could have picked it up while he was still doing the demolition on the parts that needed to be fixed. At any rate, they did good quality work and I am pleased with the end result. I would use Mr. Handyman of Huntsville again.

I want to first say that we appreciate Mr. BM's business. Mr. BM called into our office to request service. I spoke to BM & explained our services & how we charged. We explain to all our customers if we need to run to the local hardware store or supply house, we charge for that time because we're picking up supplies to complete your project. We also explain to our customers that we try to have our vans stocked with supplies that helps us complete most of the services we are sent out to do. However, on occasion we either run out of supplies or in this case just didn't have the bit needed to complete the service, which was unfortunate. When Mr. BM called in I explained to him that what he was in need of didn't warrant us coming out to do an estimate. The estimate could be giving through sending pictures. I told him that if we came out for a estimate the charge was $85.00 & he agreed to send picture's. I reviewed the pictures & gave Mr. BM a estimated time to complete his service. In that estimate, I allow a little time for supply runs if needed to cover our time. I gave Mr. BM a estimate of 7-8 hours to complete his project. Our technician completed the job in less than 6 hours including his trip to the supply house. Mr. Handyman try's to be upfront & transparent with our customers but in the moment of booking our customers, we can't think of all the different scenarios that we may encounter during the service. I do welcome Mr. BM to use our services in the future.
