I have used Choate's Air Conditioning, Heating, & Plumbing for several years. They were referred to me by a friend/neighbor. I had them install a new HVAC system a few years ago and along with that I have the family plan that I pay $25 a month for. I found their work to be good work until recently, as recently they were out due to my bathtub draining slowly, and the faucet seemed to have trouble pulling on and off. The plumber that came out took two and a half hours! He said he cleared the drain, and he did take the faucet off and mess with it and put it back together, and told me he had to get a part and come back. I think he was price gouging me for time spent on this job. I caught him numerous times just sitting on his phone. He also went to his truck and spent a good deal of time doing something, I don't know what, he was just sitting in his truck. He never answered my questions about the faucet and left my bathroom a mess. Due to illness, I have not called them back out to complete this job. Keep in mind that I have had this faucet repaired in the past at a fraction of the cost by different companies over the years. This service call cost me nearly $500, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the work that was done and the condition in which my bathroom was left. I am also upset about the phone use during this service call. I think he was intentionally dragging out his time to charge me more! If it wasn't for my warranty for the HVAC system, I would not use them again.
