I've been using Choate's Air Conditioning, Heating, & Plumbing for many years and always had good experiences with them which is why I just signed a contract for a new air conditioning unit. This was despite their most recent visit. Greg McCullough was the tech who came to check the upstairs unit. After checking it, he agreed with me that it was out of refrigerant. Then he checked the downstairs unit which has been operating fine since the refrigerant was refilled four years ago. But that's all he did to the downstairs unit. He didn't clean it or check any of the other parts. He didn't clean out any of the leaf debris that had accumulated. I was very disappointed with the lack of work done by him, especially since I was charged a fee for servicing both the upstairs and downstairs units. Keith was the tech from Choate's who gave me the estimate to replace the upstairs unit and for which I signed a contract. Keith is always great and gets five stars from me. Overall, I have to rate Choate's Air Conditioning, Heating, & Plumbing a little lower than that because of their most recent visit.
