Roger The Plumber

Scam Company (8320 Nieman Road, Lenexa, KS 66214)

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!! This company is a very corrupt company! Don't use them! They may lie to your face acting like a nice, trusting, type of company but they are a snake company looking for the best ways to bite you. Then the employees probably get together back at the office and tell their scamming stories to find out who stole the most from people that day as they laugh at us. I think this business needs to be shut down and licenses taken away. My story is probably just one of many since these scammers are probably doing this constantly thinking crime pays - IT DOESN'T ROGER THE PLUMBER (MICHAEL SHULTZ) - WE ARE MAKING YOUR EVIL KNOWN PUBLICLY AND WE DON'T WANT YOUR SERVICES ANY LONGER. I WANT YOU SERVING TIME IN PRISON. AND THAT MAY BE TRUE FOR THE WHOLE COMPANY - IT'S HARD TO IMAGINE THE MANAGERS AND OWNER NOT KNOWING ABOUT THE CRIMES THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE UP TO SO IT'S PROBABLY MORE THAN JUST MICHAEL SHULTZ BEING A SNAKE EMPLOYEE. I responded to a Home Depot ad mailed to me and they sent out Roger the Plumber from 10583 Lackman Road, Lenexa, KS. Michael Shultz showed up and acted very nice and knowledgeable. Thinking Home Depot would only send out vetted and honest people I was relaxed but I still followed him around while working as I like to do (you never know who the snakes are and workers tend to pick on females (I'm a female) and the elderly it seems). This snake (Michael Shultz) didn't get far on my furnace check before receiving a phone call (?) and then he connected a camera to my furnace (without opening it up) and showed me a picture of the inside of my furnace. He pointed out a crack in my heat exchanger and asked if I'd been feeling sick since with a crack like that my house is probably getting CO and my furnace is too dangerous to run any longer. He then shut it off (without finishing the check up) and said I needed a new furnace and turning on mine could kill people. He then went to check on my air conditioner since I was paying for both to be checked. He looked at it and recommended two parts which I agreed to since I was still trusting him at this point. He said one part cost $338.00 (Dual Capacitor) and the other part cost $442.00 (Hard Start Assist Kit). I don't know HVAC and I was thinking this was an honest company especially since Home Depot sent them and so I agreed. These prices seemed crazy but I thought they must just be expensive parts. I was watching as he put the parts on and they were both small parts and only took maybe a few minutes to put both on my AC. Later on I looked both these parts up online and saw one was around a $10 part and the other was around a $50 part. So I was really ripped off from the parts. So my check up and parts (the furnace wasn't even finished) ended up costing me $662.00 and the check up was advertised to be a $98.00 special. So then Michael jumped into his sales act and offered to send someone from Roger the Plumber out to price a new furnace and if I went with it they would take off part of the cost of my AC parts. So a man came out and gave me a high price for a new furnace letting me know it was a special deal since they were deducting part of the price of the parts they just put in my AC. Thankfully they gave me such a high price that I didn't want to go with it before shopping around. So I had two companies come to give me quotes on a new furnace and owners of both companies came and I explained to both that my furnace had a cracked heat exchanger, my furnace was too dangerous to turn on, and I was needing a new one. One told me I had a nice furnace and after turning it on and staying awhile questioned me needing a new one so he didn't even give me a quote and didn't think CO was leaking. (My CO alarms had never gone off and still weren't.) When I had told Michael Shultz that my CO alarms hadn't been going off he said the alarms sometimes don't go off except with really high levels. The next company also questioned me needing a new furnace and so instead of getting a quote I made another appointment for them to come and do another check up of both my furnace and AC. They did and I let them know of my concern of a cracked heat exchanger that was shown to me from an actual picture. So this company opened up my furnace and did a good inspection of the insides to look for any cracks and let me know they didn't see any cracks and my furnace was fine. They went ahead and did a full check up and cleaning (since Roger the Plumber didn't finish it) and checked out my AC as being fine too. So I was way overcharged for parts, was told I needed a new furnace and was offered an expensive one, and to get me to believe this they had brought A FAKE PICTURE OF A CRACKED HEAT EXCHANGER to my house. Or it's possible since Michael received a phone call while checking my furnace he was actually having someone send the right picture for my furnace? What a corrupt, evil, snake company this is!!!
