Very Bad Experience.

This was my first time I used Turf King and I was not happy at all with their service. I have to tell the truth, but I was very disappointed with them. They did not do what they were supposed to do and I had to wind up paying for it anyway. I would never recommend them. It was a very bad experience and not happy.

Hi Anna, thanks for taking the time to post a review. We are sorry to hear that you were not happy this year as Turf King has been looking after your lawn since 2015 and you have renewed your program for 3 straight years. The notes for 2018 show that this year you had more crabgrass this summer. The warm summer weather did make crabgrass more of a problem this year. The good thing about crabgrass is that it will die off in the winter. But crabgrass does produce a lot of seeds that germinate in late spring. Unfortunately with the Ontario Cosmetic Pesticide ban there are no easy answers for crabgrass. There is a product that can be applied in the spring that will reduce crabgrass germination but it is not perfect. Once crabgrass has germinated, there is not longer a post emergent product available -so pulling it out by hand is the only option. Please contact our office if you would like to add the organic crabgrass preventer to your program. This is the only product that can be used. Other than that, make sure to mow your lawn high as this can help reduce crabgrass. Also seed any bare or thin spots in the sun as this is an area that crabgrass is often a problem.
