Arrogant; disrespectful
To start, they did not show up two of the days we had scheduled for packing. We had to call them to find out why they weren't there. They rudely kept postponing our packing and then rushed on the third day. They took just 5 hours to load 13,000 lbs. They were sloppy and inconsiderate of our things.
We kindly asked the movers to wash their hands before packing. One responded with, "Are you serious?" His hands were a sweaty mess. He did not wash his hands!
Whenever we requested them to do something, they would answer with an attitude of "I've been packing for 30 years." They totally ignored our wishes.
They crammed an antique basket in a box and broke it.
We asked one of the men to make sure he repacked dishes we had in storage. He acknowledged me like he would do that. We received our goods and saw he totally ignored me and did not repack valuable china.
They threw their trash in numerous moving boxes (empty tape rolls, wrap, etc).
They crammed things in the bottom of our wardrobe boxes.
They threw all of our shoes together in the bottom of a wardrobe box.
They took baskets with bathroom items and dumped them in a box and did not wrap them to keep the items in place.
Every box was heavy, and they used very little packing paper. They just stuffed things in a box as fast as they could.
They had absolutely no consideration for our personal property.
Shame on the military contractor that used these rude and inconsiderate movers. Is this really how they treat military veterans?
