Responsibility
This company has a problem with accepting responsibility for damaging property they're moving. If a piece of furniture was scratched when they picked it up and destroyed when they dropped it off, they say that it was previously damaged and won't pay anything toward the damage they themselves caused. This happened with three items I own. Then, they destroyed 3 of 4 bookshelves, but want to pay 80% of what it will cost to replace them, saying they found a "comparable" item at Walmart.
I've moved 8 times over the last 20 years and this is absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. Only experience with Arpin. I would never recommend this company to anyone I know; if anyone asks (and they have), I tell them of my experience and recommend they use almost anyone else. I've tried to email my issues to the military representative, but she's not representing the military to the company, she's representing the company to the military -- she doesn't understand how often we have to move or how much the items we've collected through our assignments mean to us. We've had one of the items they completely destroyed for 20 years. It had sentimental value along with functional value and this company, the rep specifically, doesn't understand and seems to lack the ability to accept responsibility for their actions.
