Dukes Painting And Repair painted the exterior of my house. We had a lot of wood rot so we replaced some trim. It took them 3-4 days; it wasn't very long. It turned out great! They were really good about letting us make the decisions. We narrowed it down to three different colors, so they picked up the paint and put all three colors on the wall so we could look at it for a few days and make our decision. Then they went and picked up the color we chose and painted everything. They were really great to work with.

I thought we would have to put a down payment, but we didn't even have to make a payment until the work was finished. I talked to a couple of people I work with and they told me what it would probably cost, so their prices were what I expected. When they gave me the estimate, I had a good feeling about them and it was what I was willing to spend.

The only reason I didn't give them all 5 stars was because they could have done better on the clean-up. When they were prepping the wood, they had to scrape off all the old paint, and there were a lot of paint chips left behind that they could have swept up. They also left some wood chips lying around that I think they meant to pick up but forgot about.

I was nervous about the project, but they were really professional and it went really smoothly. I like to stay informed, and so I really appreciated that they kept me posted the whole time. Any time there was something going on I could make a decision about what needed to be done because they had kept me informed. I also really appreciate that it said on their website that they use explicitly Sherwin Williams paints. My brother-in-law recommended that I use Sherwin Williams paint since he has had success with it. I appreciate that they are not willing to compromise on the quality of paint. I appreciate that they are using a name-brand product and they didn't want to deviate from that.

We had them to do our exterior, but they do interiors as well, and I have definitely considered getting a quote from them for the interior. If you go with Duke's Painting, be ready for a good experience with them!
