Craig and Paul had a full day, with a few surprises in the old walls, but completed the work and cleaned up by evening as expected.

Copper proved too rigid and difficult to fit into the walls with out creating access holes. Beside the constraint I had for the project to avoid wall damage on the first floor the crawl space where the piping needed to be located made for limited space to maneuver rigid copper.

So we switched to PEX, a material I had considered and only planned on copper to just have one material for all the home plumbing supply pipes. Since this is an unintentionally heated crawl space PEX provides some added forgiveness if it does get below freezing.

They managed the install without any damage to kitchen or bathroom walls. They also noticed and changed out a P-trap on a sink. This was not in the scope, but it was an issue that I had noticed but forgot to point out. It was taken care of and did not change the contract cost.
