We recently took our 2010 Honda Odyssey to the Naples, FL Collex location to repair and replace a portion of the front fender and fender shield. The part was ordered and installed. When we picked up the vehicle, the shield did not look flushed, but we just thought if something was repaired, it would not look exactly the same as the original.

Approximately two weeks later, while on the freeway, we heard a loud noise coming from the same part of the car that was repaired. The fender shield was not installed properly and disengaged somewhat due to driving at higher speeds. Within a week, the fender shield had come loose and there was a gaping hole where it rubbed against the tire and some broken plastic from another part rubbing against the bottom of the car and the road.

We returned to Collex believing that the shop would honor its warranty and we would get the part replaced and the fender fixed. Instead we got a run around and my husband was told it must have been his fault. He must have hit something. Human error is common in this business, but Collex was unwilling to acknowledge that. In the end, the broken piece was reattached properly, but the fender shield still is broken with a gaping hole and dangling plastic. So, the part we paid for is actually in worse shape than the original that was replaced.

We know that Collex cares a lot about its reputation and the warranty is meant to put people at ease, but for our family, it did nothing for us. Instead, my husband was treated like he was a liar. We will not return to Collex again or recommend this company, at least at this Naples location, because of the poor workmanship and service and their refusal to honor their warranty in an instance where their work resulted in damage to our vehicle.
