Automotive Excellence has really done great work for me overall. I used them twice now. This last time I took in an old pickup truck of mine to have them replace the ball joints and tie rods on it. Now, I am not going to knock their work but I was a little bit surprised to see how high the cost wound up being. I tried to get a rough estimate prior to having the work done. What happened was when I went to pick it up it turned out being double the expense. I take part of the blame myself as I should have stayed on top of them. However, I believe that a customer deserves a phone call once the work starts going up so high. At least, give the customer the option to continue with the work or not. I expected that much on their part. I just wish that they had given me a little more insight into things before they went through with it. I realize that the pickup truck was a very old model and it makes it more difficult to find the parts. They did try to make some modifications to the parts. With the quality work that they wound up doing I would probably use them again with better communication next time. I definitely would recommend Automotive Excellence for their work.
