Best of Utah Moving Company

If I could give less than one star I would.

If I could give less than one star I would. Not only for the terrible experience, but the complete lack of response from management to recognize and try in someway to make it right.

Due to the incompetence and general lack of care from the movers, the move took over double the time I had allotted. This generate a bill of $1000 from Best of Utah MOVING COMPANY. To fix all the errors made by the movers, I had to spend an additional $900. When I brought this to management, they simply ignored me. This review is the only thing I can offer others, if you are scheduling a move, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, no matter what. THERE IS NO CIRCUMSTANCE THAT JUSTIFIES DOUBLING THE COST OF YOUR MOVE TO FIX THE MISTAKES OF THEIR EMPLOYEES.

I had allotted 5 hours to pack the truck. I used this company to move 2 years ago. I moved the same about of items. Also, there was an extra leg from South Jordan to Kaysville to get additional items. That move took 4.5 hours with 3 movers. The 3 movers were incredible, wrapped all my items with care, moved with urgency and efficiently, and executed all my instructions exactly.

This latest experience was the exact opposite. This move took 9 HOURS.

First: This extreme delay forced me to rent a hotel room a quarter of the way into the drive. The hotel cost me $175.

Second: I requested 3 movers, only 2 showed up. Those 2 moves (not me the customer footing the bill) decided they only needed 2 movers.

Third: The movers did not pay attention when I showed them the very simple plan to only take boxes with pink tape on the first truck load. 8 boxes that did not have pink post-its went to the first location in town. One of those boxes had my medication in it. My sister had to overnight that medication to me in Idaho at a cost of $40. I had to make an additional trip to Salt Lake in a rental truck, because the boxes will not fit in my car. With the rental fee and gasoline, the is trip cost me over $600, not including the massive inconvenience of my time and energy.

Fourth: Everyone at my house (me, my boyfriend, my sister and our friend) all believed the 2 movers were under the influence of something. When I called the main office to inform them, I was simply told they drug test all employees when they hire them. How is that a response? How would that solve me immediate problem?

It bears repeating, if you are scheduling a move, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, no matter what. THERE IS NO CIRCUMSTANCE THAT JUSTIFIES DOUBLING THE COST OF YOUR MOVE TO FIX THE MISTAKES OF THEIR EMPLOYEES.
