Best of Utah Moving Company did a good job with our move. This was our first time using them. Our broker recommended them to us. They loaded and unloaded our whole home (we packed). I got a few estimates before hiring them and they were on target with the pricing. The workers who showed up were on time, courteous and polite. The company did say they were sending three movers to load and unload but I think perhaps one of them is either new or perhaps not strong enough to be lifting and moving some of these things. He struggled a lot with a mattress from upstairs down to the truck and I have moved it myself so he really shouldn't have had difficulties. He dropped it a few times and had to readjust how he was holding it. I could understand the difficulty if it was heavier or the old fashioned spring mattresses that were so heavy, but this one isn't really that heavy so it should have been managable. The other two workers who were here were lifting heavier objects than that without difficulties, so perhaps the company needs to train their employees how to handle furniture better (training perhaps?) as well as encouraging them to keep physically fit if they are doing a demanding job like this lifting furniture and important valuables for their customers. Luckily nothing was broken so in that respect, they did well. I was fortunate to have called early enough prior to the move to find that they offer discounts if you ask about them. For instance, sometimes they offer better rates for a Wednesday vs. a Saturday. Sometimes they will give discounts for a weekend they are not busy, so if you want to move on the 12th but they say that the weekend of the 26th would be less if your dates are flexible you can get a discount. I want people to know of the star rating I went with four and a half but there is no half on here. The only reason I did not go five is because of the difficulties the one employee of theirs had. Other than that I really think they did a good job, they were careful with our belongings. They were on time and respectful of the home and tried to be careful and mindful of the flooring and walls not to scratch or harm them. So I would recommend calling Best of Utah Moving Company!
