So, it was a Tuesday I was set to sell my car to Carvana.com with an appointment for Saturday at what I thought was a generous quote. Out of the blue I received a text from Shawn following up with me about an online inquiry I had made about selling my car. I had reached out to several different websites one night not realizing anyone would reach back out to me with any type of offer close to Carvana.com. I told him what my offer from Carvana.com was and figured he wouldn't be able to compete. Well, Shawn, on behalf of JustBetterCars.com, boldly stated they should be able to not only match their offer, but beat it by $300 and feel better about dealing with & supporting a local business, especially during current challenging business climate we face since the pandemic (he also agreed to take care of a ding/dent that I was gonna get fixed for $200, at no cost to me!). He got my attention and I began to tell him my situation, about selling my car and needing to coordinate that carefully with the purchase of a different car almost simultaneously...which would require flexibility, patience, commitment and trust. Turns out Shawn represents all those things in spades, as he stands confident alongside his JustBetterCars team to provide the best possible solution to your car selling (and car buying) needs and desires. Well, needless to say I cancelled my Carvana.com appointment. After a few days I told him I was set to buy a certain car on Saturday from a small dealer, but then my dream car became available on CL from a private seller and I kept him posted as I test drove it and then loved it and started the process of getting things started with my G1 CU to facilitate my buying my new dream car, a Kia Soul. Shawn was very encouraging, patient, flexible and made good on his offer for nearly a week before he graciously agreed to meet me at G1 CU an hour before I was to meet with my seller and loan officer to buy my new car. Shawn arrived with all the paperwork in order, did a very brief inspection, and agreed to wait until my meeting at G1 actually started before I was willing to sign all the docs and handed over a check for my car (minus the amount of $ needed to payoff my loan balance first). This remaining $/check was needed for me to walk in to loan officer and help pay for/finance my Kia Soul. I couldn't have done all of this without him and his JustBetterCars team. I'm truly grateful and glad I had the opportunity to do business with someone who makes you feel comfortable, valued and reassured. Kudos to Shawn and JBC.com!!!
