I hired Navis Pack & Ship for delivery of a Victorian Couch. This piece was an heirloom of my family. My father-n-law was present when the shipping company who Navis Pack & Ship contracts to pack it and ship it arrived. He told me that everything was good on his end when they left with the couch. The couch was picked up in Colorado Springs to be delivered in Queens New York. The couch arrived to me with nearly all the legs broken. The upholstery was torn where the legs connected to the couch. It was clear to me that they put it on a pallet and somehow they smashed or hit it numerous times. The company who delivered it acted as though it wasn't their problem. I had insured the couch with Navis Pack & Ship and contacted them regarding the damage. There was a lot of back and forth between myself and them regarding the insurance claim. The couch itself was worth more than I had insured it for, and I simply wanted the maximum amount of insurance that I had paid for. I also had extended a great deal of time taking photos and calling about getting the insurance portion settled so that I could get the couch repaired. This process did take a lot of time to resolution. I would have given them a one-star rating but they were very responsive when I contacted them. They also stated to me that they have never had to file an insurance claim, which is kinda hard to believe. We finally received the insurance money and had the couch repaired, although it is not a complete repair at least the legs are replaced and the tears are stitched. In general (particularly the woman) Navis Pack & Ship took me seriously and tried passing information as best she could to get this resolved. They collectively were not rude but I found that they seemed to not really know what to do. I do feel they were honest and at the beginning they were honestly trying to help, it just took forever to get this resolved..weeks went by. I ended up getting the maximum amount from the insurance company and for that I am grateful!
