Charles Wood & Son Moving, Inc. helped me with a move from a small town in Germany to New York City. It was a government move, so I can't comment on the cost. The administrative staff I worked with was very good, professional, and attentive. I did have a couple of issues with the movers, though.

The movers from Germany were average at best, and didn't seem to have the proper skills and training. I had a table full of antique porcelain been in my family since 1800s. I brought the moving team over to that table and said, somewhat sarcastically of course, you are free to break anything you wish on this move, but do not break these items. Then about an hour and a half into the move, one of the movers broke one of the plates, and he kind of tried to scramble to wrap it up and hide it. There was also some damage to an antique sewing machine while they were getting our things packed up.

The stateside team who unpacked our stuff was really good except that one guy showed up who was too sick to work. He ened up sleeping in the truck all day, which put the other four movers at odds because they had to work extra hard and extra long.
