I called All American Van Lines, Inc because I was retiring and moving to a new location, Delaware to Connecticut. The guy that came out and gave me an estimate was nice and showed up on time. He explained that they go by weight and gave me all of that information. Well that quote went up by $1,800 dollars by the time the move happened. I had a bunch of tools that I was going to haul myself and the movers at the time just told me to put them on the truck that it wouldn't make any difference with the quoted price, so I put them on the truck. In this original quote I had them store our things for one month which would give us time to get settled and moved to the new location. If you went over the 30 day storage they charged me $400 per day after that! It was a big deal to have to scramble in the end to get within that time frame.

The trucks that showed up were two regular moving trucks not a big truck as I expected so there was a lot of stuff packed into those two trucks. The moving crew showed up late and they were drinking beer, throwing the bottles and cans underneath the patio. They got everything loaded, but it took a great deal of time.

When they delivered my belongings they were eight hours late, remember the 30 days storage, and my tools never made it. They were stolen or misplaced. These were tools that took years to acquire and they were just gone! We had pictures broken, furniture that was broken, a desk with big cracks in it, a portable cabinet with chunks out of it, television stand broken! There was a lot of things damaged or broken. I think my things were not stored in a storage facility and just left on the truck, because everything smelled musty when they started unloading. I also think that because of the size of the trucks they were able to maneuver them faster around corners and things that shifted my stuff and broke a lot of items. The wardrobe boxes that held our clothing were so damaged the rod they hung on was completely off and our clothes were everywhere.

I called All American Van Lines, Inc. to talk with them about all the damage and how unhappy I was and I was hung up on. I called my insurance company to see if my things were covered through them and they had neglected to add the moving insurance that I had called them about prior to moving so I did not get any relief at all that way. All American Van Lines, Inc
did not cover any damage or stolen property because I did not take out their insurance which was $500 but at the time I didn't think I needed it because I had taken care of that with my own insurance company. Basically, nothing was done for me for anything that was stolen or damaged!

I would not recommend them for anything in the world! Valuable stuff was ruined and I am livid about it! The ripped me off and got away with it!
