Green Van Lines Moving Company - Dallas

Horrible company

This is by far the worst moving company I have used. They are very unprofessional and arrived late on pick up date. I purchased a full pack move from Texas to California and was under the impression I would have a stress free move and full pack from this company like I’ve had in my previous experience with other moving companies. Unfortunately, it did not pan out the way I thought it would, not only were they late on the pick up date, the Forman Steve was very unorganized and rude. Steve knew I was pressed for time being I had a flight to catch that night. He was suppose to arrive at 6 am but did not get there until 9 am. He managed to squeeze 5 smoke breaks in including smoking by all my furniture he put outside to label. This company did not do a “full pack” all my belongings were thrown into any box unwrapped or protected. My glass wasn’t even bubbles wrapped or paper wrapped. After the packing was done 8 hours later after they said it would be 6 hours my place was left a mess. Steve advised me if I would help pack and clean it would go faster. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF PAYING FOR FULL PACK IF I HAVE TO HELP!! once they were done nothing was loaded onto a truck it was all sitting outside in my apartment hallway because I had to leave to catch a flight. Steve made me sign documents that were not yet completed by him from the pack in order for him to load the truck. When he arrived he told me my inventory list was very accurate to the list I provided on the phone. If that was so a week later I should have not received a call from Steve’s boss Jason stating I owe $1,200 more. My pick up was on a Saturday, I called Monday to voice my experience to Jason (manager of the company) he seemed as if he was willing to help me in any way he could. He admitted how Steve handled things was not right. Well Jason then turned on me. He said there was nothing they can do to fix how it happened Steve jotted down additional items that I did not “disclose” even though Steve mentioned before packing my list was accurate. With the company already having possession of my belongings we had no choice but to pay the overage fees. Days go by and my belongings arrive on the only black out day I had jotted down in my contract. Once my things arrived more than half of my items were damaged, my walls were scratched in my brand new home, the unloading company managed to put holes in my walls from the dolly, scratches on my brand new wood floors, missing pieces to bed sets, and to top it off my entertainment center was even missing. The company that delivered my items was not even green van lines, green van lines hires contractors to deliver however that was not disclosed in the beginning. Once the delivery drivers arrived they did not have enough men when they arrived so one of the drivers called his family to come help. SMH!!! these people are con-artist. They conned me out of $1200 more than what we agreed on the contract. They crossed prices out of my contracts that I did not agree to. Save yourself the stress and find a different moving company. You will regret ever using them like myself. To sum it up they did nothing to make the experience or damages better, all I was given from Jason is a “sorry we don’t normally do business like this”. This company should be out of business.
