I had two Solatubes, one 10" in my windowless bathroom and one 14" at the top of my stairs, installed in September and I love how much brighter my house is - no more dark areas during the day. I wish I would have had this done years ago b/c it just changes the atmosphere of the entire house. Even at night, there is often a glow from the moon that comes through. First Day Natural Lighting was great to work with from the time I emailed for information to the installation. When I first called about an ballpark estimate, Donna Yount (co-owner) gave me a figure and told me that her husband Kevin would come down with everything he needed, give me a firm figure, and if I wanted the lights installed at that point, he would complete the installation that day. It worked out very well. Since Donna and Kevin Yount are the owners, customer service, and installers, it was so easy and pleasant to get information, schedule, and get the installation done. As Kevin said when installing, they are the ones who would get called if there was a complaint so they make sure it gets done right the first time. This was one of the house improvements items that went flawlessly with great price and results and with absolutely no hassles. I even went to sweep after Kevin was gone and could find very little to clean up, not bad considering I have blown in installation in the attic! A friend of mine (former contractor) who self-installed tubular skylights from Home Depot and Lowes said mine are a lot brighter than the ones he has. He also said he wished that I would have done mine first b/c he would have had First Day Natural Lighting do his also, both b/c of the brighter lighting and b/c of the time it took him to get his installed. If you want tubular skylights, this is definitely the company to go with.
