You can't go wrong with Monterey Kitchens. They more or less designed a large kitchen for us out of four small spaces. They had to remove some walls, and they put in a vaulted ceiling for the entire space. It looks lovely. The beams across the ceiling match the beams in other parts of the house.

It is ideal the way it turned out. Instead of a small kitchen with a tiny island, we have a four star kitchen. The owners are creative and follow through. You can trust them. In fact, while they were doing the work on the kitchen, we were back in Nebraska. That's how much confidence we had in them, and it turned out great.
