Our air conditioner went out. We had always used a "a green big box" company and felt like we could trust them. After they had come out and gave us a quote which went from a broken air conditioner to a replacing a working furnace, I decided to get a second quote. I did an extensive search online looking at reviews. I came across Signature Heating & Air; everyone felt they were dealing with an honest company in a shaky industry. I called and spoke with Steve one of the owners. He came out the next day. He explained that we should clean our outdoor unit first and said that really required no more than washing it down with a hose. Then he thought we should determine if it was the fan tripping the circuit; this could be easily and cheaply be replaced. This would require running it and seeing if the top of the unit got so hot you couldn't touch the top of the unit. If that wasn't the case, then the compressor was going out and we would have to replace the unit because of the age (18 years). It was a cool weekend but we tried the testing the unit. Unfortunately we had to replace the unit. Steve replaced the unit on Monday. His price was more than 1/3 less than the big box. They also found a small gas leak going into the furnace. They connected me up with an honest gas company too. They left the workspace clean and laid plastic on my newly cleaned carpets. I will continue to use these guys. The nice part was Steve has a young son that is in business with him, so we can count on them for years to come. I strongly recommend these guys, I promise you will not be disappointed!
