Heating System Maintenance
Tech ID JEFCOM
I had my heating system checked on 11/11/14 to make sure everything was running properly and to avoid complications this coming winter. The first couple of days the system appeared to be running okay but the weather hadn't gotten that cool yet to where it was running all the time.
Today, 11/13, when the weather was really getting cool the heater wasn't working properly. I called the lady at 1:00pm and reported that the system wasn't working right and was informed that due to a large number of calls that they wouldn't be able to come out until later on.
I called around 7pm and at first the customer service representative wasn't able to locate me but with a little more searching found me. The same tech that checked the unit a couple of days ago came out and informed me that it wasn't the heating unit but the thermostat and wiring that needed to be replaced due to the age of the house and wiring then charged me $89 for the call.
I feel that this should have been part of the first visit. Isn't that what I paid for is to have everything checked to make sure things were running properly to avoid problems?
I've been with Beyer Boys for a good couple of years and have my other family members and to be treated in such a manner just because the tech didn't want to admit that he didn't check everything out properly doesn't seem quite right.
