Best Service, Best Value, Glad I called them
My wife told me her friends use Beyer Boys and are very happy with the service. I called them at 4:30 in the afternoon, and they said they would send someone out in about an hour and half. WOW! I got a call from the technician in less than 15 minutes and he said he was on the way and would be here in about half an hour. He showed up on time! Less than an hour from the time I called. The technician knew what he was doing, he found the problem in 5 minutes, had the part with him and fixed it in less than twenty minutes. He then checked everything else, I had told him that it wasn't cooling as well as I thought it should. It has always been this way since the house was built 5 years ago but getting worse. He checked the Freon levels (he had a great set of electronic gauges for that) and low and behold my suspicions were confirmed: there never was enough Freon in the system. It took 6 pounds of Freon in a system that only holds 12 pounds. House is cool now like I always thought it should be!!!
So, to sum it all up: got service to the house in 45 min. to an hour, fixed the problem in less than twenty min (had parts with him, and they were inexpensive parts, could have fooled me with expensive parts that I didn't need), fixed other problem that I had, gave the system a complete check and was finished in two hours from the time I called. Couldn't ask for better service.
As a footnote: I worked for a major computer company installing and maintaining large computers and retired after 30 years. Top notch service was expected from us and (blush) I was one of their best and received many rewards and recognition for that. I know what good service is. I know a great deal about electronics, mechanics and also how A/C and heat pump units work. I don't have the detailed knowledge of of my unit to fix it myself or the equipment. This technician impressed me with his service, attitude, knowledge and honesty. I would have been proud to have him on my team when I was out in the field.
