Be VERY careful about them. We have lived in our house 5 years. Used our fireplace for three years and enjoyed it. Never a problem. Had a chimney sweep and inspection to maintain it. THEN comes along Jon Wayne. We thought because they were a large company they knew what they were doing. The fall after they installed our HAVC unit, that summer we began to use our fireplace and found that we had a mess on our hands. The problem arose AFTER the fire died down and we went to bed. Woke up to the smell like our house was on fire. The heating unit was drawing the smell into the house. It was horrible! Had to open doors to air out the house. I called Jon Wayne and they said I must have negative pressure in the house and we would have to pay them hundreds of dollars for them to run a test and thousands for it to be corrected. And it was their fault! We NEVER had a problem till they installed their unit! We were unable to handle the cost. We’ve installed glass doors to attempt to reduce the smell but it really didn’t help. They could care less about our loss. I’ve toyed with the idea of filing a lawsuit but I’m sure they have a stable full of attorneys and we’re just retired old people that wish we had our fireplace back. Be very careful!
