Choose your dentist wisely at Oak Orchard

I have been going to my dentist appointments regularly with Dr. Paul Makule, for the last year, trying to get all my work done to prepare my mouth for front crowns and a partial. I patiently went to every appointment, filling one filling at a time per visit because the dentist refused to fill more than one filling each visit, even though I insisted for him to do so. This made me feel like he was trying to get as many visits out of me as possible, to make the most money off me as possible, which is not a good feeling to have. When the time came to start my front caps and partial, two more cavities conveniently came up and on a tooth that he previously did work on a month before. I was trying to get at least one cap done before my insurance switched over and had to put in a third approval, to another insurance company. He refused to start my cap on the next visit, knowing full well that my insurance would be switched over at the end of next month. Not to mention, the first approval that was sent in went past the six month wait and expired. When I expressed my frustration about coming there for a year and not getting what I came there to get done, he simply said that "this place is really busy", which has nothing to do with what we do in our individual appointments. Not to mention, he refused to do two extractions and sent me off to another office, in which I waited two months to get into, only to find out that they did not take my insurance. I had to figure out, on my own, where I had to go to get my teeth extracted, one in which was a surgical extraction. I have never felt so unheard and ignored than this dentist made me feel. Whenever I would bring up a frustration or a concern, he would change the subject. He could never remember what we spoke about the previous visit, which showed me that he simply did not care to remember his patients. With all that being said, the dentist I had before this one at Brockport Oak Orchard, Dr. Chang, was great! She would fill more than one filling in each visit and even extracted two teeth as one time once. She has an amazing bed side manner and wants to please her patients as much as possible. I have switched back to this dentist. Hopefully, I can get my teeth fixed with her because nobody likes to walk around with an obvious gap in the front of their mouth!!
