Spoke with Mr. Engle today in re. to Oak Orchard Health Dental, at 300 West Ave., Brockport NY 14420. To reaffirm, I would like to have their Practice investigated for violations of the NYS Health Law and failure to make a speedy appointment for an emergency repair of a molar that had just fractured after having a repair made on same within a short time prior by Dr. Chang at said Dental facility. It was explained to a receptionist named Barbara (Refused her last name), that a portion of the tooth broke off, leaving a sharp point on same, that was cutting into my tongue, causing substantial pain and bleeding. She repeatedly said that she could only find an opening (for any Dentist in the facility) as soon as June 16 2018 , 30 days later. She said it wasn’t considered an emergency. I was not going to wait 30 days for the pain and suffering to be remedied. There after I spoke to Dr. Chang who had no problem finding an earlier appointment for me. She stated that she would advise the Office Supervisor, Mary Rich, to call me in re. to my dissatisfaction of their ineptness etc.. Mary Rich called me today (May 15 2018) to hear my complaint. I explained to her about the Public Health Law (28030) in re. to a Patients Bill of Rights, which she did not know was Posted on the Oak Orchard Health web Site. She had no objection to the way I was treated and insisted on ending our conversation. I would like this matter thoroughly investigated as to the conduct and violations of the Public Health Law, Dept. of Health Laws and any other violations of pertinent violations of the rule and law. This complaint will be forwarded to the AG NYS , Dept. of Health, BBB ETC. I give my permission for any and all records from Oak Orchard Health for this investigation.
