My general contractor on a project that included landscaping and the expansion of the house recommended Anthony & Sylvan when I broached the subject of putting a pool on the side yard. This is what Anthony & Sylvan does and they do a lot of it so I didn' look any further. The pool we had built is rectangular, 13 feet wide by 40 feet long, and it has a spa. As a place for recreation, it's great, and as a place for relaxation, it's beautiful. We have a corner lot and the side yard where the pool is now had always been a space that was not very pleasing to the eye. It had no good sunlight so it was hard to grow things. Now the addition of the pool is almost spectacular. It changed the appearance of the place and it's pretty to look at.

And Anthony & Sylvan is a big enterprise. There are a lot of folks involved, and so that was the one thing that made me think about working with others. I like to work with individuals. I'm not a big fan of working with the big, anonymous firm that is subcontracting and sub-subcontracting, and upon meeting with everybody right from the very first time, I felt that we were dealing with a very big company, but that the people were going to be available, consistent and approachable. There won' be a need to dial a 1-800 number when there's a question or a problem, and get the sound of somebody from halfway around the world speaking over a sappy line who's never heard of you.

There was also a very consistent stream of information all along the way of the enterprise. The scheduler and the manager were responsive as well, not necessarily within moments, but not more than a few minutes to an hour. If I send an email or left a phone message, I got an answer. Anthony & Sylvan has been pretty good from start to finish. They're a very big company that exceeded my expectations right to the end.
