Awful Customer Service

High Definition Solar installed a roof at my house. When finished working the first day, they did not realize that it was going to rain that evening and did not protect the roof. Due to the rain, there was water on the bathroom floor, sheet rock damage to the ceiling in the bedroom and water leaked through and left water marks on the ceilings in multiple rooms.
My main issue is the way that they are handling the incident. I called when they opened and advised them of the issue. The person was apologetic and advised that he would send someone to look at it. The person they sent out viewed the damage only. He did not take any notes. A day later, I had to follow up to see what the next steps would be. They sent a gentleman out ten (10) days after the follow up call, on a Sunday, and he reviewed the damage and was going to provide a quote, although I was told he would be out to fix the issue. The gentleman also advised that he drove from Vallejo (my residence is in Sacramento) and that he has a regular job during the week and is doing this as a favor for his friend that works at High Definition Solar. I called once again the day after he left and spoke to the Director of Operations and voiced my concerns and mentioned I did not feel like they were treating their customer like they were a priority. She said that was not the case, but it continued to show when she called back to set up a time for the person to come out and the day available was Sunday, Father's Day. I told her that would not work as we are out of town the next two (2) weekends and she said she would call me back in five (5) minutes. This was on a Monday and I received no call. I called Tuesday and left a message still with no return call. I called Wednesday morning and asked to speak to her and was told she was just walking into a meeting. I asked to speak to her boss and was told there was no one over her. I asked for the owner of the company’s name and was put on hold and the initial person I asked for was on the line with no update on when someone will be out to fix the damage they caused.
When we initially set a start date and they called days later and advised the current job they were working on ran over and asked can they start Monday and my husband advised that was okay. Two (2) days later they called and said they did not realize that was Memorial Day and said they would start Tuesday. Initially I was understanding since it typically does not rain in May but felt like in that line of business, the company should be more abreast of the forecast. But considering the aftermath, they clearly do not pay attention to details that can affect their customers, i.e. paying attention to Holidays and the weather and calling back when promised. Customer service was great and once the contract was signed went downhill!
When looking to spend $15,000 - $25,000 on a roof, I do not recommend this company!
