I am extremely disappointed with this dental care provider.
I am in need of dentures but have dental insurance that will not cover the full costs. I went to Aspen Dental to find out how much it would be to get teeth removed, and to receive both upper and lower dentures. My experience only had one positive note, and that was that the dentist was nice.
I told the office manager that I would work on trying to get financing on my own, and that I only wanted dental work done now that was fully covered by my insurance plan. I received a phone call from her telling me to come in and get some of the preliminary stuff out of the way such as taking impressions of my teeth.
I went in for the appointments to take the impressions reiterating at every step that I only wanted to do stuff that was currently fully covered by my insurance, as I had not yet received the financing for the rest of the work.
A couple of days after I had the impressions done, the office manager called me to tell me that my dentures were done. I could not believe what I heard in the message that she left me. I specifically asked not to have any work done that wasn't fully covered!
She said that it was part of my treatment plan, and that I would pay for the dentures with the completion of the treatment plan. Apparently when a customer agrees to the "treatment plan" that they lay out for you on the first visit it is a contract. I thought it was just an agreement that I was okay with what they wanted to do!
I was not happy with their business practices at all, and then began to fear exactly what "treatment" I would be getting if I did decide to continue. I decided to not let them treat me any further. Well, I got a bill for $1,600 for the dentures that I never asked to be made. Multiple phone calls to their corporate headquarters only got me responses that I have to pay that bill.
I would not recommend them to anyone.
