I Was Ripped Off
I called Mr. Handyman serving Greater Jacksonville and spoke to a woman about the work that needed to be done here. I needed the top cabinets of my kitchen removed, along with some painting work. She gave me a quote of more than 900 dollars. I was told it was to be a free estimate, as well. Two men showed up, and I explained to them what had to be done. They whispered under their breath as they walked through each room in the condo, before telling me they couldn't do the kitchen cabinets for less than a thousand dollars. Then they told me that, to paint the whole interior condo and to take down the cabinets, it would cost me six thousand dollars. I said no way. They ended up charging me about sixty-six dollars for the estimate I was told was supposed to be free. I ended up using other companies for the work and the price for that came out to less than a thousand dollars. It was ridiculous and I was ripped off by Mr. Handyman. If anybody were to ask me if I'd recommend the company to others, I would tell them all of the bad stuff.
