The Worst Experience of My Life

I had a few projects for Mr. Handyman serving Greater Jacksonville to do. I wanted them to paint the ceiling in my room. I wanted to them to fix the baseboards in my living room, to hang a door in my child's room, to replace the lower half of the siding on one side of the house. Mr. Handyman serving Greater Jacksonville quoted me one price, and then the day the guy came out, the quote tripled. He said it would take him longer to do than I'd originally been told and the quote was based on an hourly rate. Then when he did the work, he very lackadaisical about it. The siding wasn't level. He messed up the ceiling in my room trying to paint over it. It was like he didn't even know how to pain. There were just a whole bunch of mishaps. They sent a few people out to fix the mistakes and it just didn't work out at all. I was very unhappy with the services I received from Mr. Handyman serving Greater Jacksonville.

When we drop the ball, we own it. The full extent of your needs was not apparent over the phone. While the technician assigned to your project has good skills, and gets great customer feedback, he was not the best candidate for your entire list. I had him return and redo your siding repair (at no cost to you) which I personally returned and inspected, and we got others involved to complete your list. And, when we realized there was a dropped hand-off between tech-1 and tech-2, I sent somebody back at our expense to close-out your list.

Your feedback and frustration are real. I’m sorry you experienced this. What differentiates Mr. Handyman from others is that we come back and address issues and dropped balls. Unfortunately, many in this industry can never be reached when something needs to be addressed. A guarantee is no good from a company that won’t take your call.

I’m sorry this experience with Mr. Handyman wasn’t our best effort, but we proved our guarantee is real, and I know from our last conversation that it’s all done now, and it’s all done well.
