I have always wanted to share my experience but never knew where to do so. Therefore, I am glad to find this site. A few years ago I had a Min Pin. He was like my child and not just a dog! He began having seizures. During a particularly bad seizure I took him in the early evening. He was kept overnight for observation. The next day I was able to bring him home. He was on the same meds with no changes after a $400 bill. When we got home I noticed his entire chest was black and blue. I called to ask them about it they said he was fine all night. I asked if he was having seizures yet they assured me he had not had any but tried to get out the crate repeatedly. ?? To this day I do not understand how a 7 pound dog could or would beat himself up that bad without notice. After this I NEVER returned to this vet. I found a much better, much more reasonably priced vet 1/4 mile away. My dog was put on new meds and never had to be hospitalized again. Go figure! I would not recommend using this office especially if a family pet has to be left overnight!
