Out of all the places I have brought my cars, the best experience I have ever had was recently with Hayward Auto Care. I have a Chevy, and my engine light was on, so I did some research and decided to try Hayward Auto. When I called and told Ken about my complaints he told me to bring it in at 9 the next morning.

I called the next morning because I was running late, but it was not a problem at all. Because the shop is situated behind another company I got lost, but when I called, Ken's wife was great about directing me into the shop. As soon as I got there both Ken and his wife came out to greet me right away. I didn't even have to wait to get someone's attention to help me.

Ken looked through the car with me, and I told him all about my complaints. He told me that it was no problem, that he needed to do a diagnostic and that he would call me when it was done. An hour later he called me with what we needed to do. Ken also told me that we could wait on one of the repairs because it didn't actually need to be done right away. He said that in 3 months when we do an oil change we will look at it and do it then.

When we decided to move forward with the repairs he asked if I could be without my car for one day. He didn't inform me of how long it was going to take, instead he asked me if a certain time frame would work for me. The mannerism and respect of that was amazing. Hayward Auto Care puts themselves into my shoes.

Ken told me he would call me the next day when it was done, and he actually called the next morning before noon. Ken had gone into the shop early so that he could work on my car and get it done. I knew that he really wanted to please me. He was doing it from his heart.

The repairs cost me $500. I did my research and it probably should have been more like $1000. Also, when I picked up my car he had done so many different things that he didn't even charge me for. Ken cleaned my entire engine, detailed my tires, and washed and waxed the car. That is the incredible extra mile that he took. My car looked brand new. Nobody really does anything for free anymore, but he did.

Hayward Auto Care also went over every part that they changed in my car and actually showed me the old parts. Ken lined up the old parts in order for me to see what had been done. He told me to drive the car and then call him to let him know how it worked. The car sounds brand new. When I drove it, I could tell the difference in 5 minutes.

Two of the main complaints I had were about the brakes and my ignition. No one had been able to fix my brakes to where they no longer squeak, but Ken made them silent. Also, I had been told that I needed a new ignition because sometimes I have a hard time starting the car. He let me know that it was actually an air bubble in the gas pump, he fixed it, and I no longer have any problems. He is incredibly knowledgeable. Everything he said about the repairs turned out correct.

I love the people at Hayward Auto Care. I have sent so many people to them already because they deserve to have people see how great they are. Ken really cares about your car. If you care about your job you will do the best you can do, and it is obvious that Ken loves his job. Everything he promised he did, and when he told me a price I paid that price. I'm not anyone special, so if they went out of their way for me they will do that for anyone. It really went beyond customer service; I can't say enough good things about them.
