paid 40$ for a quote that was 271 too high!!!

I recently paid $40 for a quote regarding a job running a gas line from the basement to the kitchen. I was quoted a service estimate of around $1,300. I then called my local Brighton plumber who gave me a quote for free and did the job for $350. I gave 2 stars in place of 1 since the plumber who give us our estimate was polite and seemed like a nice guy. However, paying for a quote that comes in 271 higher than the competition (who offered same day service) left a bad taste in my mouth. Im just happy I called someone else!

Thank you for your feedback. We always present pricing upfront and in writing so any customer can make an educated decision before moving forward with service. We encourage all customers to make sure that any contractor that they use are fully licensed, bonded, and insured in the county in which they live. We also encourage customers to make sure that all necessary code upgrades, permits, and inspections are secured when required by law. While we are unsure what company this customer ended up using, some companies will cut corners in order to lower prices by not being properly covered or securing necessary permits.
