Bonney sent two technicians by to diagnose a problem with my drains and toilet. I had told them that I didn't know much about the shape of the plumbing because I recently bought the home prior to their diagnosis and I feel like they took advantage of that. I wanted them to try and Auger the toilet and Snake the drains and by the end of the diagnosis, they had said everything needed to be changed and repaired and I'm looking at 30K or more for everything. They were both showing me how bad things were using terms that were over my head. They used scare tactics talking about how it would be unhealthy to continue to drink the water and that my piping was in terrible shape. They used a lot of jargon and it was hard to follow and didn't even end up trying to Auger my toilet or snake my drains. While diagnosing my issues, they disconnected my washing machine and either broke the appliance or reconnected the pipes incorrectly because after they left the water would not stop flowing into the machine while the water valve was open. After the diagnosis and the rough 30K verbal estimate, they send me a formal estimate under 20k calling it a great deal and they were proud of getting it so low. After consulting with a few other plumbers, it was quickly revealed that the urgency of most of those issues were grossly exaggerated and the cost was indeed way overpriced even at 20K for the same work. When I called Bonney to ask if they could snake and Auger my drain and the issue with the washing machine, they sent the two same technicians out. One of them was defensive, dismissive and rude and refused to snake my drain. When I showed them the issue with the washer one of them lied about only removing the hot water hose (he had showed me both disconnected and pointed out the gunk that had built up last time they were out) and said that this was an issue with my appliance, not them. The one technician was extremely rude to me and I sent them away. I'm not sure what else I can do to compensate for them breaking my washer and not claiming any responsibility or even trying to reconnect the tubing or troubleshoot. This company is just out to get your money and they don't even provide good customer service. I don't see why people use them.
