Joeys Auto Service

My new mechanic :-)

First, I want to start by saying that I am in law enforcement and while I work the streets and have seen what I’ve seen, I want to know that outside of work there are people I can trust. I have two cars, one is my newer most dependable car and the other is my 20 year old truck. I remember taking my newer car for a tire change service at another mechanic who said my suspension was leaking. Foolishly enough I paid for a fix, and since then I had horrible experience with it. I had to take it in 3 more x's due to my suspension that they fixed snapping in two. finally these people...no names but it rhymes with americn tires supposedly fixed it...and getting to my point bear with me people...my other car needed a major shock change and since my experience with the mechanic I used for my older vehicle (the guy would make excuses why it wasn’t ready) in attempting to fix my ac he broke my heat. blah blah, turns out the guy was driving my truck to Mexico. I found out when I called his home and his son answered and he said “my dad’s in Mexico” I drove by the shop and my truck wasnt there. put the two together will three because I added mileage and it was crazy high (that guy came referred too) back to my older vehicle...went to oreilys talked to some guys who sold me my shocks for 20 each. I called americn tires originally and they said to buy and install its 500. I told oreilys this and they said "they buy and use these shocks from us" americn tires even said it’s all parts no labor charge but it would take 4-5 hours, on us since your experience with your newer car. Someone at oreilys recommended joey and since then it has been love at first sight. I called Joey at 7pm, and he said my guys are over worked and need a break and he said tomorrow first thing. I thought wow, this guy cares for his employees, sounds like a nice guy. Told him my situation and experience with these other mechanics and an hour later he called me and said…I talked to my guys and they are good to go. I drove my truck in and they took 30 min to change my shocks in my old truck at PENNIES compared to what the other place was charging, and since then it drives beautifully. So I found a new mechanic. Here comes the punch line..took my new car to joey for an oil change and just by looking at it (never mentioned the issue with the shocks and the other place to joey, and he said…someone did some bad work on this side. You need new axle. I said, how the $@!#% do you know that just by looking at it, and he said, I looked at your tire and its wasting toward the inside and I glanced at the under carriage and can tell. So I told this Houdini my experience and sure enough he was right. I called…no names but it rhymes with americn tires and they said the guy I dealt with was no longer working there. I asked why and they said the company fired him for shady business. Since then they’ve gone through 3 new people all fired so it’s always someone new. Nowadays it’s very hard to trust in people, but I finally have a new mechanic that I trust whole heartedly. He is a great mechanic with a great team of mechanics who go above and beyond what you pay them for. The places I’ve had HORRIBLE EXPENSIVE experiences with are…no names but it rhymes with ;-) bigo tires, americn tires, pep boyz, jiffy loob, and one referred mechanic who drove my truck to mexico. Lol, that bigo tire place that put my brand new tire on, 10 min later as I made right turn my new tire ended up in someones yard. Oops there goes my tire. I give everyone second chances because im trusting of people…every place was an expensive second chance and since then I only give one. So far so good with Joey’s Auto and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM and HIS TEAM.
