This project involved painting the exterior of a 130 year old Victorian cottage in San Gabriel. It had not been painted in over 20 years and needed significant prep work, which was diligently accomplished. We chose the main body color and then 3 accent colors involving the window frames and sashes, along with the numerous Victorian "gingerbread" accents on the front facade. We used Benjamin Moore paint.
Our painters were gentlemen who were expert craftsmen, concerned with every detail and who took pride in their work. They were delighted to work on a Victorian cottage, and expressed that they felt it was an honor to work on such an historic home. This showed in the results.
The painters were extremely tidy, did not drip paint, were careful of the gardens surrounding the house and left their ladders, tarps and supplies
neatly arranged at the end of each workday. Scott, the company owner,made frequent visits to the site to make sure all was going well.
The Victorian details on the front facade and front door required an eye for detail and a steady hand and the results are beautiful!
