where to start... we took our e30 BMW to Paddock to get some regular maintenance work done to the vehicle which went fairly smoothly and "seems" to have all been done correctly. of course with the exception of them taking care of the clicking noise that the vehicle makes while driving, they swore had been fixed.
Next, we talked to a man by the name of Doug, who had a almost too good to be true deal on a body kit he was willing to sell to us. Later when we decided to make the purchase, we were charged more than what he had told us in the first place, and he was too incompetent to realize that we had a 325is and that the fog lights on the old front bumper could be put into the new one. And he still swears that the day we checked out the body kit that he had said they wouldn't fit on our non "is" model.. I may not be the most intelligent man in the world, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at the tags on the back of a vehicle and see what the model it is. (i realize anyone can put any tag on a vehicle, but i assure you ours is a 325is) When we got the car back, we looked it over, not too carefully before we left because we had assumed this "high caliber service shop" would have done it right. Could not have been more wrong. The side skirts are not even flush, and the rear bumper is only attached on one side. Which he claims was done solely because if he had attached the other side it would have melted under the heat of the exhaust. Hmmmmmm..... i have an idea, lets just let the damn thing fall off every hundred yards when driving down the road because we thought it was a good idea not to bolt on the whole thing. Im sure that one of their "certified, service driven mechanics" could have figured out a better solution to this brain buster. Over all, this has been the most eye opening experience of my life, well, almost. At least i know where i will never be taking my future vehicles to for maintenance work, and where to turn people away from if it ever comes up in a conversation. If only i could put into words how unpleasant it has been working with you Doug.
