Required too much follow up
For the price paid, I expected the best. That is what Montell sold me on. I had to have them come back out after initial completion of deck. All boards not secure, one board not level, electric wiring hanging from deck. After second visit it was completed after I had to contact them twice. Was told no sub contractors were to be used except for gutters. Subs did a good job but they also used subs for concrete work. I had to ask multiple times for the deck plan in order to sign off on what was expected to be done. Never received final walk through with project manager. Initial plan called for 9 sets of lights but only 6 were used. I had to ask 3x for what would be done about this. Did receive credit in the end. I had to ask when concrete would be laid. Was promised one day, only for that to change when i asked where they were that day. Then i had to follow up again to find out when sealant for the concrete would be done. I assume 2 coats were applied on one day but i truly don't know as i had basically given up at that point. Finished product looks good but it shouldn't take at least 5 follow up calls/texts on my part to complete the job for what i paid for this job. Over 10 screws found in back yard. Wood shavings and wood pieces not cleaned up. Concrete wash out done on lawn and not fully cleaned up. I prefer to pay more for quality and professional work, but this will make me reconsider. Matt my design consultant did a great job but the experience didn't follow that lead. I paid above average prices for a below average experience.
