bad experince

I took my new BMW X3 to the to install a backup camera. They were recommended by the BMW. dealership.Three days later the electronics and softwear on the car quit working ,;it would not start would not go into gear windows, gauges everything shut down. After three towtrucks to get someone who could tow it an entire day trying to deal with a broken car it was towed to BMW dealership that was closed .Five days without a car the dealership determined the entire problem was caused by faulty installation of the back up camera by Sound Performnace. Very inconvient We were lucky to be in Columbia and not out on the highway which would have made a terrible day and week even worse.

Hi Robert. We are so sorry that you had the difficulties with the backup camera system that we installed in your X3 .
We were called by BMW of Columbia (which is a great partner of ours) and our general manager (Blake) immediately went over to inspect the installation and the backup integration module. He confirmed what their senior BMW technician had found. The module had a manufacturer defect in the harness that was provided with the module. The high-end integration module was designed specifically for your vehicle and did not require any cutting or splicing of wires. It is a true plug in integration kit. We have had zero issues with any of the other modules that we sell and install from this company (NavTV) in the past 6 years (outside of normal warranties). We let BMW of Columbia know that any cost incurred would be taken care of right away and to let you know this too. We also ask them if we should reach out to you directly and they said that if you had any questions or concerns they would let us know. If you would want us to give you a call to apologize directly and/or answer any of your questions or concerns we would love that opportunity. We have been in business serving our customers for almost 18 years and when our products or services (or both) fall short it is important that we address it correctly.
