If I'm giving three stars and it's just because Dr Karlo Tawatao (that saved the review) Dr t was humane and caring and knowledgeable but the rest of the experience was terrible from the get-go... from the time you ring the bell screams at you why are you ringing the bell when there is a sign to ring it.... you come with an emergency and not only they do not open the door right away but the way you are greeted and treated it's horrible. I had an emergency with a doggie and rushed there. Big mistake! I should have have taken her to blue Pearl or other emergency hospital thank God there was Dr t there and he was kind enough to see my dog after 35 mins of waiting not knowing if she broke her back. Not wven a pain killer or get her revised, she was crying in pain and i hagd to go get him because of the long wait (in an emergency) not knowing about the puppy status
The worst part a doctor called dr. rachel Herwick came in the room with such an arrogant , cold, nasty, even bitchy Attitude, acting like a smart $@!#%...making you feel like you were dumb for asking a valid question! You're dealing with the trauma and shock of the accident, so tired and and having to drive at midnight with a dog throwing up into a hospital and being treated like that it's really really sad please if you go there only accept dr T or definitely go somewhere else. You're a paying client to be treated and threatened like dr. Herwick treated me and the poor puppy. I wish VCA would get more knowledgeable and kinder vets, .
